Paula's Story
Attended SoHo Intermediate, SoHo High School and Dobie.
I currently live on our small (220 acre) cattle ranch about 30 minutes from College Station. I have lived here alone for one half of each month, creating and running the ranch for the last 11 years of my life.
My passion is growing chemical free meats, vegetables and fruits. I love to propagate plants, travel the back roads taking pictures, creating healthy--good tasting---recipes that impact health. I am fascinated by the food/health connection and how since industrialization much of our food supply has become toxic, hurting our citizens. I also write poetry and short stories.
I had a difficult time fitting in at school because of serious challenges at home. Even so, I remember some very nice people there. I had to leave home did not graduate.
My son, who I was very close to, was coerced away from our family in June of 1998, one week after he graduated from one of our federal academies. It has broken our hearts. I have learned to accept it and cannot begin to imagine the wonderful man he must have grown into. One has to wonder why a son would sever ties to the family he treasured just as he graduated and was ready to move into his own world. I pray the best for him and ask that God have mercy on the souls of those responsible.

27 years of marriage, the end of July 2010. We still have not started divorce negotiations. I am stunned and deeply hurt that it appears my ex is trying to do everything possible to destroy me. It seems control might be more important to some than is love, honor and integrity. I wonder how it can all be so sad and tragic after 27 years of love and devotion. I feel so sorry for him. I do not want to hurt him or anybody else. I understand that we all grow and change. I appreciate and embrace the good he brought to my life. I wish my ex only the best in life.
Please see my Face book page, which is listed under Paula Miller Doty, Normangee, TX. When I am FINALLY divorced, I will be changing my name back to Paula Miller. Seems odd after all of these years. I loved my married name, but now it is a symbol of deep hurt and betrayal. I will heal just fine. I just want to get to know Paula Miller.
So, yes, life HAS been challenging. Even so----we all have our 'stuff'. I am strong and find much to be thankful for every day.
I wish you all health, happiness and fun (lots of it!). Please do remember that life can change on a dime. I urge you all to laugh, love and serve others every day of your life, to embrace all of the amazing gifts that God and this amazing Universe gives you.
My hugs and best wishes to all of you.
