Paula's Story

Hello to all my friends at OHS. My life story would be too long to tell, but I will give a summary. I started at CFJC but eventually received my Bachelor's degree from George Mason University in Virginia. Later I completed graduate courses in Human Resource Management and went to work for the U.S. Government, Department of State in Washington, DC. I married young and have a daughter named Amy, but that marriage didn't last. My current husband and I have been married since 1981. We have a son, Ryan and daughter, Emily. John was a Foreign Service Officer (Economics) and we met in Spain. I later joined the Foreign Service as a Human Resourc...Expand for more
e Specialist. We worked in American Embassies in Liberia, Argentina, Peru, and Belgium as well as Washington, DC. After 30 years of service I have retired and we now live near Austin, TX. All three of our kids live nearby. I recently completed another degree in Art. I enjoy painting with acrylics and watercolor. I have also dabbled in design, sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking. I love art, cooking, movies, music, and traveling and recently began Zumba classes. I still feel very young, although I am 60+ and have to do a double take when I see my reflection (who is that?). Have fun. Stay healthy. Enjoy your life and be kind to others.
