Paula's Story

Life My life has been interesting to say the least. I have had a long and at one time a happy relationship. Suffered the pains of giving birth to three beautiful children, to only live the deep pain of losing a child. I have seen some of our country, and lived in the south and middle of the US. I have been spared from the clutches of the dreaded c word, 5 times, to having my brain operated on, free of cancer, to live with growing older now. My greatest joy's were my family, and all the friends I have had over the years. My most happier times have been with my grandchildren, they are truly a blessing in my life now . I am not older, just better. I have loved deep and have an unending abiding love of God. He truly has given me the faith to go on each day. As with you all. I am sure that we have parts we would care to change, but than that would not be us, would it? To reach out and find old friends and touch bases with any of you would be nice. So best of everything to you all. School Of course, it would be the King, Elvis. Than their was the guy named Manx. Where are you? You was so cute! Don't have my year book handy, but their was an English teacher that was so young, and very cute, dark hair, Wow! The funniest was a friend of mine was so short, around 4 foot, we were walking the halls, and I remember a few guys just jumping over her they were in such a hurry... The happiest, was when our school got our mascot back, our Eagle, after it was stolen. Then of course all the crazy things I did with all my friends back then. The craziest was doing the weird things for the clubs we all attended. I remember pigtails in the hair, gunnysack dresses. The best was wearing blue jeans when we all could, as we had the dress code. Skirts for girls, and reasonably short hair for the guys. The good old days, huh? College No college , just credit classes to do with all my work, and self improvement courses. When I did go, it was interesting, and would like to go now. Workplace My greatest job has been a mother, and a grandmother now. I have worked with tools, airline people, electrical businesses, that have some of my stuff floating around in space.I know about tractors and farming, about chickens and duck...Expand for more
s and such.I have cooked for the past governor of Nebraska, and state people. I have done banquets of from 10- to over 300 people. I know all about special diets of young and old, healthy and sick. I have done professional wedding cakes and done the flowers and decorations to boot! I know alot about farming and growing wheat, and all the good stuff, you get on a farm. I had a very busy business of my own, a housecleaning business of private homes and of business people, total of around 40 customers a month, all of my own accord. I have seen very secure , very old articles and coins from the depths of the ocean. Have been outside of the good old USA just once, and that was just fine, I love the USA!!! Have grown my own herbs and flowers to beautify the areas where I have lived. Have worked with young people and elderly. I think I would like to become a people's house organizer. Ya know, to put order in their closets, their living areas, their cupboards, their silverware drawer!! Smile, happy faces to you all!!! Have greeted all kinds of people from different jobs I have had. Shared my experiences, and implanted a child protection program in the state of Wyo. Have fought for strict gun use and care around children, from my own grief, I have helped save alot of kids. Instructed people with coping with loss in their lives, and was instrumental in getting local chapter of SIDS where I lived to see that it did not matter when a person lost a child, it was still their child, precious and all. But as I stated, my greatest joy was being a mother, than a grandmother. That is about the most rewarding job I will ever have. Probably bored alot of you, so will go for now. Bye. Military No military service, just being married once to an ex- Vietnam vet was a job in being in the military. Kudos to all of you vets, I do not take my freedom for granted, but somewhere can't the government not change all of our soldiers, they were all lost as we knew them back then, don't you agree? I always wanted to be a farm wife when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a stupid idea. As it turns out, they were sorta wrong. I go out to my garden, tend to my flowers, or find a good book to read and have a cup of tea.
