Okay...we can't be old enough to be planning a 40th High School Reunion...really?
Update...I have now been married for 38 years, have three married sons with 3 awesome daughter-in-laws and 3 1/2 grandchildren...still teaching Talented and Gifted students and waiting for the right Admin position to come available. I love everything about my life, however; I would trade Huntsville for the beach tomorrow...hopefully in the near future. We have had many challenges lately including the death of my brother in Beebe and Gary's mom being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Gary is now is a stay-at-home-son- caring for her 24/7. Everyday is a new world at our house, literally!
I have been so blessed in Morgan County Schools the past 13 years with excellent teachers and outstanding students who challenge me daily to be daring and dream big. The past few years God has opened amazing doors of opportunity. nternational Middle School Economic Teacher of the Year, NCEE representative to South Africa and Wall Street Essay Winner of a 7 day trip to New York to even ring the opening bell on the Stock Market floor. Last spring my students and I wrote and recorded a anti-bullying music video with an up-and-coming Nashville singer/songwriter. What a trip! Did I mention I love my job?
We always enjoy Abraham bringing his standup paddle boards down and we all terrorize the neighbors in our community on the streets as well as the boaters on the Tennessee River. He and Jen are still at UT in Knoxville. David and Carly are in Nashville and we live for the weekends we get to play with Warren and Ivy. Matt and Laura are still in Pensacola and Parker is the love of our lives as well. We are thrilled to be expecting a fourth grandchild in June.
We are definitely excited about what God has for our future...Jeremiah 29:11 is our theme these days. We are trying to live on purpose and make a difference...life is short!
