Paula's Story

Life 2005 We went to Florida this past summer and I am so glad we got to be together as a family. My older daughter moved out a month ago (yes, she is still a senior), she just had to get out and see life NOW. (such a serious kid) My younger daughter went thru the goth, death be to you all phase. I didnt think she would live thru it, 12 to 14yrs old, but she did. She's a great kid, sensitive and makes me laugh. Shes repeating the 9th grade and making honor roll. Her boyfriend of 1 year now, is 17 and goes to night school. He wants to get a degree in animation and make video games. My husband works at BC/BS and aspires to work in professional wrestling (still). He works for some of the independent associations occasionally. Hes a creative thinker and uses humor, which everyone loves (except his wife sometimes) So, if you havent figured it out by now, Ive had to learn to relax. If I hadnt, I would have had a heart attack by now. Things rarely turn out as you expect in life. But if you love em, support em, and believe in them (even if you dont agree), you get to see that they are beautiful just the way they are, and when they start believing that, they start to succeed. They find their way. I have learned to have so much more grace in my life since knowing the grace and mercy that Jesus Christ gave us all, when he died for us. What a gift! So, who am I? I didnt like high school much. I went thru a hard time in middle school and I just never felt comfortable making friends after that. It took me a long time to work thru my p...Expand for more
ast. I thought me and my boyfriend in high school would be together forever. Those are good memories. I think about people I knew of, all the way from Rawsonville Elementary School thru High School. As a kid, we had no idea what other kids were really going thru. The labels still apply to high school today. I talk with my kids to look deeper than the surface. We all need acceptance. I work at University of Michigan in Pharmacy Services. Ive been there 14 years and I really like what I do. I am currently a certified technician that maintains the inpatient pharmacy database. I love school now that Im older. I would love to hear from people I went to school with. Life 2012 Oh my gosh. Time flies. I got divorced and am now remarried to my high school sweetheart. Weird huh. That said, I went from 2 kids to 5 and a total of 4 grandkids now. lol . I thought kids were supposed to grow up and I got my life back. HA! 5 kids between the ages of 19 -24 is a three ring circus. They will find their way in the world. Yeah I keep saying that. I hope they learn to make good decisions that will get them where they want to be in life. I am still at University of Michigan, 21 years now and am transitioning to a new position! yea! as a MiChart analyst. I am looking forward to new challenges that this will bring. I am enjoying country life, gardening & canning this summer. If I ever get back in shape I would really love to do more hiking. I've done some pretty awesome treks a few years back and would say its some of my best highlights yet.
