Paula's Story
It's what...21 years later? I'll do my best to recap my life since 1987. I received my bachelor's degree from Baldwin Wallace College in 1990. I then pursued my dreams to travel by working on a cruise ship (1991) and with American Airlines as a flight attendant for nearly 15 years (1992-2005). My travels have taken me to places like Trinidad and Tobago, the ABC Islands, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, England, France, Turkey, Greece and just about every state in the US. Traveling has also provided me with some unique opporunities such as walking on a glacier, flying on the Concord, cruising the Panama Canal, playing volleyball with Oliver Stone, and swimming with dolphins. With the airlines, I was first based in New York, living in Long Beach, Long Island from 1992-2000. When I wasn't on an airplane, I was on the beach playing volleyball. It's always been my passion. ioning!). Also, while in New York, I did some modeling for Nike, Lady Foot Locker, SHAPE Magazine and a few others. Even though these were all small jobs with my "before-children" look, it was a fun way to experience NY. The best thing that came out of New York was my husband, Dan. He's a pilot with Delta airlines and started off in the Big Apple as well. He lured me to his home town north of Boston just after we married in 1999. We did alot of boating (and flying) our first couple of years of marriage, then...you guessed it...the babies started coming. We had a girl (Jillian) in 2002 and a boy (Lucas) in 2004. Dan and I deemed it best that I resign from the airlines with 2 babies at home. As a stay-at-home mom, my creative side began to surface again. I began designing and selling bouquets out of money. It's now my own business -called Aristocash Designs - and keeps me busy shipping bouquets all over the country. That pretty much brings me up to date. I look forward to seeing all of you this August!
