Paula's Story

After graduation, I took a couple of months off before working at my first job which was a stenographer at the NYS Office of Criminal Justice Services in Manhattan. In 1972 I met my future husband, who at the time, was our new supervisor. We married in 1973. We moved to Upstate New York in 1974. Worked for state government for years. We have four children ranging in age from almost 40 down to 24. We also have two dogs. We opened up a home based business called PETS, Professional Edge Typing Service. That didn't last very long. We used a laser printer in that business and when we bought toner for our printer we thought it was a lot of money to spend on one cartridge. We then opened up Impact by Design. We remanufactured toner cartridges for laser printers, fax machines and copiers. After a few years with this name, and no one really knowing what our name meant, we changed it to Scrybex Inc. (scryb - to write, ex for excellence). We are now called Scrybex Imaging, Inc. We are still remanufacturing toner cartridges, but now we are also trying to launch a new business called Marvan Salve. After being in the remanufacturing of toner business for almost 30 years we felt we needed a change. Marvan Salve is a salve that has been in our family since my husband's grandfather created it back in 1929. The recipe has stayed the same. Only the name and logo are different. This salve has been proven to prevent blisters from burns from cooking, woodstoves, etc. We have found, through testing on ourselves, that it reduces the symptoms of eczema and psoriasis. We are offering four free sample packets with our old name on it - Marvarderm. The only thing you have to pay for is shipping and handling - $1.65. If you go to my facebook page you will learn more about Marvan Salve. It is not sold in stores. Once you try it you will always have it...in your kitchen, bathroom, workshop and in the car. Looking forward to see my classmates, who are from the baby boom generation, and who can probably use this product to check it out. Thank you for read...Expand for more
ing! ================================================================================================UPDATE: April 5, 2017 Having completed our test marketing, we have concluded that of the three names we tried - Marvaderm, Dermistat and the original name, way back in 1929, the one that resonated with the consumers the best is Marvan Salve. Since we have thousands of samples, both under the Marvaderm name and the Dermistat name, we have decided to make them available as free samples to interested parties. For anyone in the New Dorp High School family, we are giving away up to five samples of this salve. The one in the Marvaderm packet is rectangular in shape. The one in the Dermistat packets are more cylindrical in shape. They both contain the same exact salve that Dr. Joe first created back in 1929. His formula has not changed. It has proven to be the go-to product when you burn yourself when you are cooking, or in a workshop, campfires, grilling, etc. As soon as you even think you have burned yourself, you spread this salve onto the skin like peanut butter. Leave on for just twelve minutes. Then just wipe off. For most common burns, that is all you need to do. You will not be in pain, you will not get a blister and therefore, most importantly, you will have no scar. The only proviso is that the skin hasn't been burned to a crisp. If the skin is intact, the salve will prevent blistering and scarring. It also works very well with dry eczema and with cuts to prevent infection. In other words, if you use Neosporin, this non-antibiotic product works better. You can do your part to prevent antibiotic collapse. We are in the process of setting up our Marvan Salve website. If you want to read more information on this product, please just type in Dermistat in your search engine and you will find us. There, you will see other reasons that you will truly want this product in your home, workshop, car, and purse. You may also call us at 1-844-724-6753 and place your order for up to five samples. Just let us know which sample you want.
