Paula's Story
Wow I moved a lot when I was a kid but the place I lived the longest was Burns, Or and the place I still call home is Bend. I was born in Bend and spent most every summer there after we moved away. Bend was my safe place!
I lived in Burns from 1968 to 1973 and then the summer between my sophomore and junior years we moved to Lebanon, Or where I graduated in 1975.
After graduation I joined the Air Force and spent 8 months in Biloxi,MS. That was a culture shock! Then the rest of my 6 years were spent at McChord AFB in Tacoma.
While stationed at McChord I met my first husband. Together we had 3 kids. My two sons and my daughter (she is the middle child).We divorced and I married again in 2002 and accquired 2 stepsons. So I have a houseful! My two oldest a...Expand for more

After the military, I used my GI Bill to go to Nursing school and have been a RN since 1984. I finally finished my BSN in 2008 and am currently working on my Masters/Family Nurse Practitioner degree. I have worked in long term care, the clinic setting, home care and am now a certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE...I love saying I am certified SANE...no one believes it though! :))
I intend to continue in the area of Forensics and women's health when I finish my Masters.
I currently live in Washington State about 50 miles north of Seattle and while it is beautiful here I would like to move back to Oregon someday where most of the rest of my family still are.
