Paulette's Story
Where have the years gone since 1967? I thought I would be in school all of my life. Those 12 years were long. But FUN! And now, months go by like days. Why did we think we would never grow old? Did our parents think that way? If you have your parents, you are lucky. I lost both of mine. My Dad in 1981 from cancer and my Mom in 2001 from heart disease. The older I got, the smarter they got. Miss them lots!
After school, I attended Williams College for Women (it should have said girls) in Ft. Lauderdale for 12 months.
That was a fun place in 1967-1968. Hippies and all. Then I worked for Southern Airways for less than a year.

ansferred to Jacksonville in 1974. In 1974 I was supervisor over the timekeeping office and later made Assist Manager of Personnel. I married for the first time in June of 1987 to a wonderful man, Ralph Harmon. He had four kids, who are now mine. And I have 8 grand kids. I retired after 26 years with Sears in Jan of 1995.
I was able to have time with my husband's Mom until she passed away in 1997. And I enjoyed my Mom until she passed away in 2001. Family and friends mean a lot to me. I loved going out and dancing. Live music. Now, I still like that once in a long while. But I love my home and my patio. I love grilling out.
I love walks on the beach. I love NASCAR. I love being with my husband and family. I love fishing. I love warm days and sunshine. I don't like cold weather.
