Peggy's Story
Hi Classmates!
The best part of my life story starts in 1985 when I gave birth to my daughter. I raised her on my own, having wisely decided against marriage to her dad. I've been single all these many decades - happily so.
I survived a 32 year career delivering mail with the U.S. Postal Service. I was overqualified for the job, if I may say so myself, yet the permanent nature of the position (thanks to our Union) allowed me peace of mind as a single mother. Otherwise, working for the USPS sucked big time, due to their intolerable and senseless management techniques. I begrudge how they treated us. Impossible to tell you it was 32 years without including my honest two cents.

l time recently, and earned my BA degree in English, Creative Writing in May 2021! A dream fulfilled. I wish I could say competitive sports continued to be a big part of my life after high school basketball & softball. "Regrets, I've had a few..."
Even with the down sides...Life is good!
My daughter earned her Master's Degree (MSW) and works hard as a child and family social worker. At nine years old, she decided she wanted to help neglected and abused kids. Need I say how proud I am of her? She's also been happily married for two years.
Yikes, it's suddenly dawned on me that perhaps only one or two people might ever read this? Ha. So, I'll stop here. I'm glad the Classmates website exists...here's hoping many of you fondly remembered old friends will say hi...
It's our 50th reunion next year! Woot!
