Peggy Dixon:

CLASS OF 1965
Anderson, IN
West lafayette, IN

Peggy's Story

Life I married Jim Dixon from our class in 1970 after we both graduated from Purdue University where we majored in math and computer science. After running my parents business for a few years, we started a company called Saturn Computers in 1981 in Anderson Indiana. We have two sons, Dan 27 and Patrick, almost 19 who just started at Purdue University this fall. Dan started at Purdue and then graduated from IU and is planning to move to LA to pursue a career in editing and making movies. Jim and I both played a lot of tennis, though I just enjoy walking now about three miles per day. We have three dogs and three cats, more than Jim wants, but they seem to show up at our house looking for a home and I can't turn them away. Sometimes I find homes for them. We are really at our limit. We built a beautiful home with a woods and creek near Alexandria in 1974 and enjoy the wildlife, our pets and our sons. School I enjoyed Madison Heights, especially remembering being in Pep Club, Caduceus and Honor Society. We had a great class! Going to the games and the sock hops were ...Expand for more
so much fun. And we had a fantastic band that got 1st place at the State Fair during those 4 years. Jim Dixon and I started dating during the graduating events in 1965 and continued dating until our marriage in 1970. I have fond memories of high school, though I still have recurring nightmares about not being able to find my locker or remember the combination or knowing which class to go to next or where it is. Anyone else out there have those nightmares? College The first semester after high school, I attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fl. My father died on New Years Day 1966, so I withdrew from UofF and came home to be with my mother and started at Purdue University. Jim, went his first year at Principia College in IL, but then transfered to Purdue University in the fall of 1966. We dated exclusively through Purdue and enjoyed attending the games at Purdue and dorm life in general. I started graduate school, but my mother had a heart attack after two days, so I withdrew and returned home to help with her business. Jim and I married in June of 1970.
