Peggy's Story
(Posted 1/28/08)Finally, decided to join Classmates. I now reside in Wisconsin with my husband and five children, ages 11 - 22. I have four daughters and one son....all great kids! Attended LSU during college years ("1 college football team in the nation!), and did an internship at Twentieth Century Fox Studios afterwards on the MASH set. I have great memories of that time, but decided that business was not right for me. Returned home to NYC, where I went into public relations work at a medical center. Now, after raising all my children I decided to do something rewarding, so am currently substitute teaching in our school district, which is like a full-time job. LOVE IT! I enjoy traveling...just returned from a trip to Ireland with two of my daughters. I attended the last M-W High School reunion in 2005 and hope to go to future ones! seeing old friends. I try to get back to NY every other year to see family and friends, usually bringing one of my children for the trip. Hope to connect with old friends through Classmates.
As for friends/classmates from Holy Innocents School in Brooklyn....my family lived on Marlborough Road between Caton and Church Avenues. I loved growing up in Brooklyn, across from the parade grounds of Prospect Park. Great memories of playing stick ball and going ice skating in the park. My favorite teacher was Sr. Mary Donald. She was a loving, tender person and wonderful teacher, whom I kept in touch with through my college years.
I would be happy to connect any old friends/classmates of my younger brothers. Unfortunately, Jack died in 1979 of meningitis while attending college. We miss him terribly. Pete and Jamie are doing well and both have families.
