Peggy's Story

Hello there. I finally posted a picture! The bangs hide some getting old-age wrinkles! I keep getting these messages to update- so here it is. I work at a state office in Montana. I received a bachelor degree in biology several years ago. I have two master degrees and now I am working on my doctorate. (yes, at my age). I was selected to who's who among college students of the United States. I am hoping to inspire people to learn all they can in this life for the benefit of the younger generation-including my children and grandchildren. I have always been fascinated by science-the biological and psychological aspects of Homosapiens. I started out trying to understand myself. I have learned that I am a worthwhile individual-I deserve to be loved-the same as everyone else despite mistakes. I believe that people need love the most when he or she "feels" that he or she least deserves it. As everyone else, I have known joy- and I have known pain. I know that I have limited control over what other people say or do. Especially as little children, we have no control. Why did it take me so long to realize this? Today, I understand what I did not understand. I choose to give positive affirmations to myself and to others' to help boost ones' self esteem or self worth. I work hard every day to treat people the way I expect to be treated. I try to put myself in other peoples' shoes. I look for the good in every human being. Today, I have to examine facts of what went wrong in a once baby's life. I have to examine myself.. and what may I have done to stop this from happening. And, not beat myself up from un-learned human mistakes. But, learn from it. I have three grown beautiful kids. They have had to suffer their own trials and tribulations. But, I believe that God is leading them to their true purpose. I am a grandmother of 12 beautiful grandkids. They may not be old enough to understand my message today..But, I pray that someday they will. I pray that they will grow up to remember someone everyday who may have a need..not a want..but a need..In order to survive.. human's have certain needs that don't necessarily cost anything at all. If we would all just spend as little as 15 minutes a day to finding one person who has a need outside our own personal families or friends..I am sure we could. I think of many of you and how you are. My prayers are with you always. When I look up at those stars in heaven, I think of the many people we have all loved in our lives. I name a star after each one. I also name a star after the one who has had no one to really care about him or her on this earth. This star-or angel-is the brightest one of all-and the one- who I believe- God will make up too. There is a God inspired passage-those who we think will be first will be last..those who we think will be last will be first...something like that. I believe the worst of us have been those who have been hurt the most by an act of satan. I have been blessed to have been loved by many. But, I work with people everyday who have been loved by no one. What happens to their mind? God is trying to tell us something...to harbor resentment and hate..it is not a good thing for a "normal" mind to do. Maybe, it's "selfishness." And, we don't want to have to admit it. We are all inter-related. There is no such thing as "MY own." This life is too short to harbor "hate" and "resentment." Each person does the best that he or she knows how to do or is capable of knowing how to do at the moment in time. To not take advantage of this fact is wrong. I hope all is well with each of you. I am listed in the telephone book as P E James in Great Falls, Montana. Or, 406-952-4475. O.K., answering the questions again, I always wanted to be a mom, a nurse, a counselor, or a teacher when I grew up. I have had the opportunity to do it all. I also wanted to have the one love in my life to spend my life with-to raise my children with. But, that did not happen. I have been blessed with friends who really love me... friends who helped me get back up. I enjoy helping putting a smile on someone's face who has had a rough time. I try to reach inside the soul of a person-God dwells within everyone. My favorite way to gain serenity is to go out in God's nature and look at all the magnificent things that God has created. I realize that even our children belong to God to do with as God wishes. I trust this power to do what's best. Although I do not know what the plan is, I believe there is infinite happiness for all in God's time. One only has to search within to realize the love God has for us all. We must trust this magnificent power that the goal is happiness for all creation. It is taboo to think that scientists do not believe in God. Most know there is a superior spirit. As far as Darwin's theory or the theory of evolution-if that were true "why are there monkeys still here?" When I was in an anatomy and physiology lab, I had my first inside view of a human body who the deceased so kindly donated. I call it the deseased "house" or where he lived while he was on this earth. It was during this time that I fell in love with our God. The recipe for Homosapiens is indeed magnificent.God's reipe for humans is almost like God was having fun when the palm tree was formed. Even though we are formed out of the same ingredients or molecules of dust -(how did they know this when the bible was written?) ..carbon, oxygen, hydrogen nitrogen, water, etc. the human body is indeed out-of-this-world! Take the time to look at an atom under the electronic microscope-it looks just like the earth-only miniature-believe in what the naked eye can not see-but feel. Believe that there is a purpose when you gaze in the eyes of an old person-and see God telling you something. The eyes of babies are born innocent-it is up to us to protect their eyes from violence that they are seeing everyday on T.V... or elsewhere. (Satan-the same evil angel that causes cancer to fall upon innocent victims). Yes, this modern TV is "suggestive satism" and wrong to place in our children's young growing and impressionable minds. Humans create much of their own misery through the help of satan. I believe that God tries to talk to us throughout the bible. We should not take the words literally ..but search for the meaning behind the words. Our generation for some reason helped put God out of the schools..we must help get God back into our schools..discipline with love...and prayer for all. Teach our children how to send "thank you" cards for gifts..and permit them to make fun of no one. Or, start "group homes" for the unfortunate children instead of putting them in foster homes where they may receive no love at all. At least in "group homes" the adults tending the children could be monitered by society-and each other. There would be none of this "take them in for the money" stuff that is going on today. Many of these kids "go hungry" physically a...Expand for more
nd emotionally while some foster parents pocket all they can. It is sad, but true. I have witnessed it. I have advocated for children who have been placed in some foster homes. Actually, called a government plan to give the foster parents a so-called "break." I have picked children up who were "hungry" for food and I have witnessed the cruel remarks when I took them home such as.."are you here already..while the man cuddled his own son in his arms..teaching his own son..how not to love others." This one particuliar little 7 year old child had watched his own dad who was "very sick" blow his brains out. And, this is what he had to look forward to? In group homes, at least adults are monitored among one another. There is serious brain damage that can occur within a child who is emotionally abused. I am working on a book called "A Child Without A Conscious." Another book that is about to be published is called "Your Too Crazy to Know When Someone Loves You." Glacier National Park is not too far from where I live and it is absolutely breath-taking. But, so is the desert back home with Hobbs brilliant sunset! I live about 30 miles from where the movie called "A river runs through it" was filmed. I think the wildest thing that I ever did in school was as a joke buy one of my girlfriends for Christmas a pair of "falsies". (we both started wearing a bra about the same time). But, you should have seen what she got me!! Lots of good memories-spraying pop on each other out of the old fashioned coke bottle, walking to the swimming pool, racing miniature cars in the park with a boyfriend, going roller skating, going out to the dragstrip and riding a sled behind a volkswagon (which turned out to be not such a good idea). One guy ended up getting his leg broken. I was a good kid in school-"yes maam and yes sir" to teachers and all of that. I remember when they kept that paddle hanging on the wall! Just looking at it was enough to keep me in line. I remember a couple of the boys did get taken out in the hall for a couple of whacks a few times. I loved all of my teachers except the one who tried to make me change hands. (I am a lefty). But, I know now that in her mind she was doing the "right" thing. Most of us have the ability to live and learn. I believe that each human being does the best that he or she can do at the moment in time with what he or she knows how to do or is capable of doing. After reading a book called "Fractured Minds" and after study in depth in a neuropsychology class, I have realized that there are individuals who have no control over what they do. I believe that God intends for us to find these things out. After finding these things out, I no longer believe in capital punishment. Some people have to be locked up all their life-but kill them while we are in our "right mind"-no. Changing the subject, I remember winning the bongo board championship in the 8th grade. I balanced that thing 42 minutes. I don't waste a lot of time on TV. Most of it is not true. I do like watching the Animal Planet and true stories. I like history too. I love the spirituality from Trinity Broadcast Network. I like Forensic Science and some Law and Order shows. I enjoyed the movie Forest Gump well enough to buy it-because parts of it could have been a true story. In sharing what I have learned from my two son's and one daughter---a lot! All three of them are pretty talented and have big hearts. I had several favorite teachers. The one I loved the most was Mrs. Watkins from the fourth grade. She was a lefty like me too. I remember coming in second in the spelling bee. I think my old friend from the 4th grade on up, Sharon Cox, (now Sharon Colwell), came in first place. And, I remember Judy Rogers beating me by one point in a gym basketball game. I would love to see them both plus many others from Lubbock high school including Jayne Raines, Pam Mitchel,Sandra Syrus, and Vickie Walsh. I went to both high schools. My dad was in Lubbock and my mom in Hobbs. I believe my mom and dad are both angels. I try to remember the good times-and the good things they both did. We must give our children happy memories when possible-something for them to hold on to. If I won $100 million, I'd give part of it to my children. Then I would spend the rest on unfortunate children, and take them all to disneyland. My current age is 58. When I was 12, I thought that people my age were old! I am young at heart! I still like to watch Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. (The first version-my favorite movie of all time). I have worked with children who have been placed in foster homes. I love them. I try to show them a happy time when I can. I wish there were more caring foster parents. I don't know what happened to my first crush. I keep answering all these questions this wizard is asking me to answer! Well this is an update. I am now working for a state mental health agency teaching anger management, stress reduction techniques, wellness, conflict resolution, recovery from addictions, and 1X1 counseling. I still fill in at the hospital on a registry status or when really needed in the evenings. My oldest grandson lives with me now and I wish that he had a positive male role model in his life. He has a friend from his church. But, this friend and his wife have 6 kids of their own. If every adult would just devote 2 hours a week to being a friend to a child in need of that-this country would be so much better off. If you really want to give a Christmas present to a child in need-don't give a "toy" but give of yourself-some "time" to a lonely child who is in emotional distress. Teach a boy how to hunt or fish. Teach a girl how to bake cookies. But, spend some time, and teach them both how to go to a old folks home and get lots of attention from one of the "old folks" who have no family to take them for walks. Introduce these kids to someone who has no one. Two needs can be satisfied for spending as little as two hours per week. Your teaching your child the act of "unselfishness" and "loving someone" therefore loving "himself" or "herself" at the same time. I am probably going to offend some people with what I have to say next. Think about it though. Physical sex was designed to be between a man and a woman in union. I don't care what "Dear Abby" says. I don't have any idea what her creditials are. If a person is born with both sex parts-(which I consider an act of Satan-and Satan tries to invade every human that God makes) then blood tests can be run to determine what true sex one is. God gave humans knowledge to correct this. There are other ways to receive love than an adult sex act that "Dear Abby" says is "ok." Listen to the true voice within. Many adults live every day all their lives without sex. There is God and you. Don't come to me for counseling if you don't want me to gently tell you the truth. Have a very nice evening and a beautiful day tomorrow! Peggy
