Peggy's Story
Although I did not get to graduate from Rich Central, I still consider it my high school.
However, I had a great time at Palatine HS my senior year! From seeing Janis Joplin up close and in person at the Aragon Ballroom with George, going down to Old Town with Marilyn and Kathleen...getting lost looking for Old Town!; hanging out with M,K, Pam and Candy or Natalie and Carl or PegZ and the girls; to the general friendliness of the Palatine Class of '68, many of who were also transfer students: Gene,Greg, Joe,Robbie and so many others. rs. I ran into a few folks from both schools. And I think it's too bad some of us didn't keep in touch.
I then returned to school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio to study physical therapy. I had wanted to be a physical therapist since I was about 13-14 years old. I still live in San Antonio and work as a PT in a variety of settings, treating all age groups and also serve as adjunct faculty teaching PT classes at my alma mater.
A few years ago I went back to school, working on a Master of Theology and pastoral ministry degree. I plan on working as a hospital chaplain or in hospice. I have long had a special interest in folks with ALS /Lou Gehrig's Disease and those who are dying.
I never married--not that I wasn't asked a few times. It just never seemed right. I guess I am still waiting for the love of my life to show up. Or did I just not recognize him? Hmm.... ;-)
