Peggy's Story
I always wanted to be a global traveler when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
I like to read and listen to music.
Everyday people who deal with what life throws at them and still keep positive - they are my heros.
My family and I have lived in West Africa, Indonesia, Japan, Australia and Mongolia. We move about due to my job.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my Mom, because she passed away before we really got to know each other.
Kids remember! As a parent I need to really listen to them and talk with them. Understand their thoughts and what they want to do and why.
If I won $100 million, I'd give required taxes of it to the IRS, then spend the rest on several worthy charities, a scholarship for someone where I now live who is needy and college for my kids and buying a retirement home.
It doesn't really matter where I am. Happyness (intentional misspellin...Expand for more
g) is a state of mind. For me it mostly involves being kind to others and having them treat me kindly as well.
My current age is 60. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be so out of it. I was so completely wrong. At least I hope so.
Style is all about comfort for me. I won't wear anything just to be stylish. It has to be practical and comfortable as well.
I share my home with my husband and three of our four sons as well as a neurotic daschund and an aloof Maine Coon/Persian mix, which I find delightful.
If I got one do-over, I'd make moderate exercise a routine of my daily life. I'm having a hard time keeping that goal now.
In 10 years, I hope to be 70, happily retired and in good health. I'm going to get there by not dieing, saving money and maintaining a healthly lifestyle.
My most vivid childhood memory is breaking out in hives due to the excitement I felt at winning a fishing rod and reel at my Dad's company picnic bingo game!
