Peggy's Story
I've been a teacher in Nashville for 40 years. I taught Kindergarten for 26 years and loved it but needed a change so I taught computers, reading and was the ESEA Program Facilitator for 14 years, So after a 14 year break from the classroom, I returned to teaching kindergarten the fall of 2011. It was a challenge but I loved it! Never a dull moment. However, sometimes life tells you when it is time to retire and in May of 2013, I retired. I now spend my days having fun with my son Ronnie and traveling.
I have 2 sons, the youngest is married and works at HCA. My daughter-in-law is teaching 5th grade at Donelson Middle School.

oldest son is handicapped and still lives at home with me. He is a sports fanatic and loves football and baseball. So we go to a lot of football games in the fall and baseball in the spring, he is a Vanderbilt fan. He keeps me on my toes but we have a lot of fun times together.
Dogs are my favorite animals. I have 3 dogs.
I love walking/running and try to run at least 3 days a week. I have walked/run 18 half marathons with a few more on the horizon before I cut back the distances. My 2 favorites were the Disney Princess Half Marathon in Feb. 2012 which I ran with 6 friends, and the New Orleans Half, also run with a group of friends,
