Peggy's Story
Remember Me??? I was that somewhat shy, sometimes blond girl, you may never have noticed way back when. I wasn't a cheerleader or a class officer. I just put in my time, like most of the rest of you. I had Mr Pfister for English all 4 years.
After High School.... I went to college for a LONG time. I spent the 60's having babies, so college was usually part time at night. I went to West Valley College and San Jose City College eventually graduating in 1975 and then after working in the corporate world, I went to University of San Francisco majoring in Behavior Management. This area of study fit right in with my business for the last 21 years, a Licensed Family Child Care Home.
Life in the Current Century....
My life is going along pretty well now and I have been traveling with some of my grandchildren. The most recent trip was to Yosemite, Oct 2009
Update.. Jan 4th 2008, My husband of 31 years, passed away suddenly at the young age of only 58.
I have spent the better part of 2008 and 2009 adjusting to the loss and updating the house to preserve the investment.
Now I think I am finally ready to open my heart to someone new. Any ideas as to who?????? I'd love to meet the right new guy.

I have 5 grown kids and 9 grandchildren, who take up a lot of my time. For the last 21 years I have operated a licensed Family Child Day Care Home in the Westgate Area of San Jose, primarily for children ages 0-5. I plan to work for another 5 to 10 years. My husband and I were together for 31 years. He worked for Pepsi for 35 years.
I still like to go camping, and usually go with the whole family, up to the Sierra's, at least once a year, for a week.
I have 3 cats; 2 outside, Nicky and Zombie, who I rescued from a fire on Summit Rd in June 2008, and 1 indoor/outdoor cat,Jack. I didn't pick Zombie's name, not a great choice, but I don't want to take away her name. My cat, Secret, a beautiful Maine Coon, Passed away from complications of diabetes, which is ironic, since my husband died from the same causes.
I enjoy a wide range of music and love to go to concerts. I used to love, Filmore, Winterland and Days on the Green. These days, though, I like the smaller venues. I like the Mountain Winery, and the Kuumbwa, in Santa Cruz.

The 50 Year Celebration of the Opening of Saratoga High was a huge success. It was great to see old friends and some of the original teachers.(Especially Mr. Bert Pfister, the English teacher, who still looks great.) We are now looking forward to the 50th reunion for our class of 1962.
