Peggy's Story
Moved to the mountains last year, got ill, thought it was tree allergies, turned out I am 1 in a million with extremely rare blood disorder.Requires expensive blood infusions, used to be 4 times a week every week. Just now able to go four days a week just 1 week a month. Coproporhyria, Hereitary. With the blood infusions of Panhematin, I'm doing great, but i will require the rest of my life. people hear of it, the more funding will be raised for more research.The serenity and peacefulness of where I live in Calaveras County is what I miss most when I'm in the bay area for treatment. I have a beautiful daughter who is married to her junior high boyfriend and I have a beautiful granddaughter that has played varsity baseball for her high school since she was a freshman. My grandson is listed in the top 15 best baseball players amongst 10-13 year olds in CA. I love living in the mountains.
