Penny's Story
Graduated in '72, went to business college, worked at AMC department store, and that is where I met my husband, married in Jan. '74. Had my son in '76, and my oldest daughter in '79 and then decided I was done, but life decided I needed one more child and had my youngest daughter in '81. I was happy and full of love and then came my first grandchild, what a blessing. I now have 8, I enjoy them very much, dont get to see all of them as much as I would like.
Started working with my husband again in '95, we owned our own oilfield repair business, he had always been in the oilfield. Loved working side by side with him in every thing we did. world began to tumble, I lost my youngest child in a auto accident and a month later my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Lost my best friend of 30 years 6 months later and than lost my husband in 2006. The world becomes a differnt place after being with someone for 34 years and its alot to learn how to live again. I moved back to Moore to be near my oldest daughter and she has a salon here in Moore, I went to school and work part time as a nail tech there. The salon is Attitudes at 3rd and Broadway, come by and see me sometime..LOL I also run a small embroidery/sewing business out of my home. My son took over the oilfield business and my home in Choctaw, so its like he has kept everything going on. I still attend the Nazarene church in Choctaw, need to find somewhere closer though!
