Pete's Story
Well, on the school front after leaving Rancho, I went on to get an A.A. degree in criminal justice and then onto Pepperdine University for a bachelors in public administration. Started back for the masters and life swept in and...and... I have a bunch of units for a Masters.
In June of 1969, I met a girl, Cathy Clark, while working on a boat fueling dock in Alamitos harbor. We married in August of 1972 and we are celebratied our 45th anniversary in Aug. of 2017. We have two great kids- one is an R.N. who specializes in pediatric oncology and unfortunately, our second daughter, Jamie, passed away in 2013.
Our oldest, the R.N., has given us three grand children. They are a 12 ...Expand for more
year old boy and a set (boy and girl)of twins that are 10 yrs.
Work wise, in 1973, I was hired by Costa Mesa PD as an Officer and stayed there until 1975 when Irvine PD started. I stayed there until Nov. 2002 and then "pulled the plug" for retirement. Cathy and I sold our house in Mission Viejo of 28 years, bought a 40' Monaco motor home in 2003 and hit the road full time.. Spent a year out-and-about and then decided to buy a house in Las Vegas where we stayed for about 10 years. Sold this house and went back out on the road again full time where we have been since 2014. We do nothing but travel around the country where the weather is good and there's something we want to see.
