Life After ten years of working in Mahhattan and Greenwich and way too many hours spent commuting on the train I moved to Snowmass Village, CO. located right outside of Aspen, CO. Traded in the tall buildings for some bigger mountains. Going from Wall Street living to resort living was quite a challenge and rather fun to boot! I have done so many wonderful things here, like meeting my wife Julie and starting a family. We even had a "postcard" June wedding at the top of Aspen Mountain at the Aspen Mountain Club, which required everyone to ride a Gondola to and from the wedding. Almost caused my mother heart failure! I also got involved with the Aspen Skiing Company teaching skiing and then running the Childrerns Ski Programs at Snowmass Mtn. and Buttermilk Mtn., home of ESPN's Winter X-games. It's tough having a chairlift for an office. :) I've waited tables for many of Aspens celebs and was part of a group that taught Will Smith and his entourage/family to ski. Nicest guy you could imagine. Visualize trying to teach his six foot four body guard "Charlie" to ski. Straight out of the city, never had been on skis before and probably isn't interested in hurrying back here anytime soon. I think it was his gun that hindered his movements! I spent some substantial time living in Brussells, Belgium and Seville, Spain and have enjoyed other extensive travel during my many months of off-seasons (pre-kids) and have gotten into snowboarding, ice climbing, snowmobiling, mountain climbing, mountain biking, motorcycle riding, road biking, fly fishing, bird hunting, camping, home brewing, guitar, blah!, blah!, blah! Life is good when you finally do what you really enjoy. Colorado has much to offer the outdoor enthusiast. I love it, but please don't move here! I even commuted back to Connecticut for five consecutive springs to coach Wilton youth Lacrosse with my brother-in law. My Nephew Peter was on the team.
