Peter's Story
Life
My Spouse
I met her while stopped at a stop light in Hampton, VA at lunch time on 7/22/93! We got married in August 1998 and have been happy ever since. Kathy has 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren.
My Kids
Nicholas (born Sept '87) and Alex (born Sept '90) live in Eastern British Columbia, Canada with their mother (my first wife). Nick is interested in music, movies, and animation. Alex is interested in math, science, and computers. I don't get to see them often enough, but it's always a joy when I do.
My Job
I work as an analyst for ISX Corporation, a defense R&D company. I serve as a bridge between the end-users and the software developers, ensuring that the software being developed meets their needs. s I've been developing ontologies for our effort in something called the Semantic Object Web, which is related to the World Wide Web Consortium's Semantic Web initiatives to make web pages "smarter". (Well, that's the sound bite paraphrase, anyway). I am a "telecommuter" from my Virginia Beach home. I travel a lot to work with my colleagues, mostly to our office in Arlington, VA.
As a "hobby" I'm a part-time graduate student working toward my Ph. D. in Statistics at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA.
I was born again in April 1998 and attend Kempsville Presbyterian Church in Virginia Beach with my wife Kathy.
My hobbies include reading, duplicate bridge (I'm a Life Master of the ACBL, which when combined with $1.60 will get me a "Venti" cup of coffee at Starbucks...), sports (volleyball, badminton, golf), fishing, and gardening.
