Peter's Story

Life What? You guys waiting for the Second Coming? Who's alive out there? To My Other Live SPS Chums, Glad to see many of my Rifle Teammates are still hitting the bulls eye;-) I'm glad you all are live! Today I am happy, for I have found my old friends, the best friends - and what stories we'll have to share! Forty years lost and now we're found. Amazing Grace! I work, by the way, for US Airways {used to be America West}). Oh,by the way, I fly for free. So I'm going to cut this short with a brief outline of a life will lived, so you understand why I NEED to fly for free. So here goes: Went to college in Minnesota - dropped out - went to college at Orange County Community College(OCCC) NY - dropped out - (some will remember I spent time as a child in Anchorage) went back to Alaska and the Oil Rush of 69. Married an Eskimo girl (Susie). Had two boys. Went back to college at OCCC. Got divorced (actually, she said it was to hot to live in NY. . . this was in January). Graduated from OCCC and went to Buffalo State for a degree in Information Systems. Went to work for various software clients, then worked with the State of NY Office of Mental Health - Rockland Children's Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg as Quality Assurance Specialist. Before I retired from there, picked up a Masters in Management of Technology from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, NY and another wife (Mary). (Tell you a secret I found out - no matter where you go - the women will always be there - exception: SPS;-) I digress. Moved to Apache Junction, AZ (East of Phoenix - East ...Expand for more
of Mesa - next to Superstition Mountain) because my present wife (Mary) has Rheumatoid Arthritis. My brother (Mark) lives in Jacksonville, FL and my sister (Lynn) still lives in Newburgh, NY. After all, these oats I spread around at an early age (thought I was making up for lost time being constrained at SPS) are now Eskimo men from Barter Island in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, who, like their old man, are working on their second or third family. Each. I have over 14 grandchildren. Maybe more. My youngest son didn't have a habit of getting married. Of course, you've all probably come to this stage by now, where you can remember the names of your schoolmates better than all your own grandchildren. (Well, if you're a guy, anyway:-) Now I know I've left a lot of voids in this outline - even some topics not mentioned, but feel free to write me a little bioagaphy on yourselves - and ask any questions you want to know about me, my friends - I'll be happy to fill in the blanks with you, mis viejos amigos! Grandsons Jason and Damon came to visit me this summer and go to our family reunion. I would very much like to reunion with my old high school family of friends. So tell me. Where are you all hideing? And let me remind you maroon daffales - we ain't gettin' any younger. FAST! Your SPS Bro, Peter P.S. For those who remember - my sister Doreen died (age 13) of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) October 1966 while I was attending Saint Peter's School (on a Saturday while I was playing Varsity Football)- I have "honored her" by including her with my "THEN" picture taken in 1959. - PAJ
