Peter's Story
The summer after high school my brother Pat and I went on a 3,600 mile bike trip from Ireland to Iraq (see then pic ). Worked my way thru U of W and got my Engineering degree BSME in 1980. Hard to believe now though that my tuition including books was only about $1,000/yr at that time. Did some more traveling & hiking in Alaska & another 1200 mi bike trip thru Alberta & BC after graduation. I continued to swim up until about 5 years ago when I got busy with other things and I know I need to get motivated to start again. Met my wife Anne in Michigan and we have now been together for 32 years. We did a lot of traveling ...Expand for more
but not so much lately. Our 2 daughters have now moved out on there own, the oldest is in Med School in Penn. and my yougest is in education at WSU. I am a Grandfather for the 1st time, a US citizen and been with the same automotive supplier for 30 years now. Love my job as engineering manager of advanced mechanism development as I get to design, investigate new technologies & test stuff all the time ( at least it's interesting to me but I can understand if you don't think so ).
