Peter's Story
Life
Married since 1988, 2.0 kids (female 04/02/89, male 12/19/91, both human). Computer geek by day, barbershop quartet bass by night, obnoxious narrow-minded Bible-thumper all the time, and yes I still wear those stupid hats.
Workplace
Being an attention-deficit class clown paid off big time. By learning a little bit about a lot of different things, I managed to convince folks that I'm an expert in many areas with an easygoing sense of humor. The result: Instead of festering at one task for 9 hours a day, I can jump randomly among any of the 138 assignments I have on my plate at any given time. Customers and colleagues think I'm geeky-on-the-spot, I don't get bored to tears... everybody benefits.

tly I'm a programmer/support person at a company that specializes in software and services for the apartment industry; sometimes I'm doing software development, sometimes I'm doing network consultation, sometimes I'm doing regular ol' "where is the ANY key?" tech support. If I have my way, I'll stay here at the bottom of the food chain for the rest of my life, doing what I'm best at and never having to wear a tie or fire anybody. Let the yuppies have their $100K salaries and $500K mortgages that come at the price of working 18 hour days; I've got an 18-inch commute from home to work where I can spend more time with my family and make enough to keep most of the bills paid. I'm free I tell you, free! Hahahahahhaha!
