Life
I don't think you'll be too surprised to learn what I'm doing; I live in Orlando and am a correspondent for CBS News Radio. I cover the southeast but mostly news in Florida and especially the space program! I've covered some of the biggest stories of the past decade for CBS, including the 2000 election recount, the Elian Gonzales incident, almost every shuttle flight since 1996, including the Columbia disaster, the Mars Rovers, and tragic high school shootings in Kentucky and Arkansas....More recently, I covered the 2004 hurricanes, Hurricane Katrina, and the infamous Terri Schiavo case in Tampa Bay. in 2007, it was wild with the story of astronaut gone wild Lisa Nowak, Anna Nicole Smith's death in South Florida, and the devastating tornadoes that hit Central Florida...Expand for more
. I covered the 2008 election extensively. I've also covered six super Bowls and three World Series. Talk about a great gig!
You may have heard me without knowing it, because I don't use my real name on the air-if you hear someone named "Peter King" reporting or anchoring the CBS Radio hourly newscasts, that's me! I used that name professionally as a DJ, and kept it when I became a journalist. I've also played piano professionally(although not lately). I love my job and career.
I'm divorced but am in a serious relationship, I live with my 2 cats, Scout and Houdini, in east Orlando. No kids, and no, we don't live next to Disney!
