Peter's Story
Tahoe Truckee, the best of my high school experiences. Great kids, great dances. I was there because my father was the resident bridge engineer for the interstate highway system construction from Truckee to the Nevada state line.
Highlights: came to Truckee from Dacca, Bangladesh. Left Truckee for Amman, Jordan (another bridge assignment for dad). Actually graduated not from Tahoe Truckee (left mid senior year) but from the University of California high school extension the following spring.
Attended College of Marin in California, University of Arkansas, Little Rock, and Cal State University, San Francisco. Doctorate, University of Oregon, labor/management relations.
Worked in journalism (TV and print) and public relations before final profession as a public school superintendent, 15 years.

onal: happily married 43+ years, six children, 10 grandchildren. Lived in Albany Oregon for 22 years before moving to Washougal, Washington. Definitely retired, Tubac AZ, 2015.
Living in Lake Forest for the two years we were there (1957-59) sealed the deal with me with the great outdoors. It was a good trade as I settled in Oregon in the 70’s from the Sierra Nevada’s spectacular qualities to the calmer but equally as wild and dynamic Southern and Northern Cascades. Skiing, backpacking, and fishing became a normal part of life for our family. And now in retirement I sit across from several 9,000 foot peaks that hide the early morning sun just north of Nogales.
