Peter's Story
I always wanted to be a astronaut when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an unobtainable goal. As it turns out, they were right, instead I went to work for the Washington State government for 21 years with my final years working as the Administrator of Driver Examining.
After working in different jobs for the state of Washington, with state employee unions and with the Governors office negotiating contracts, I decided to make a big change and took a job with the British Unitarian Headquarters.
In 2007 we moved to London (actually Richmond in West London) and I took a job at a charity, we sold most of our household goods and both cars.

am married to Linda (twelve years) and we have one child, Claire (eight). Linda is a Unitarian Minister in Richmond and she serves the Richmond and Putney Unitarian congregation (rpuc.org.uk). Click on the children's programme link and you will see my picture, as I run this for the church.
We now work hard on reducing our carbon footprint, as everyone should do. We do not own a vehicle and with the price of petrol coming in at around the equivalent of $8.00 to $9.00 a gallon I only miss them occasionally. Cloths are dried on a line or inside on radiators. My wife and I are vegetarian, though my eight year old daughter still eats meat with every meal.
