Life
May 2007: Turning 45 this month has really made me reflect upon my life and where I am today. There have been laughs, tears, heartaches, and surprises along the way; but the one thing that never waivered was how blessed I always felt and still do. Mike ("Pineapple" to those who remember him) and I have been married for over 22 years, and we still act like newlyweds. He is the love of my life and my rock and the glue that always holds our family together. After living in Dallas, Tulsa, and far north Austin, we have finally found our own little corner of heaven in Dripping Springs, Texas. (It's called "The Gateway to the Hill Country" and is southwest of Austin.) Our kids are growing up faster than I care to even acknowledge. Our oldest son, Jake, starts high school next year and has bypassed my height by a couple of inches. He is my source for entertainment because his quick wit and dry humor always puts a smile on my face. Our youngest son, Jonah, starts 7th grade next year and keeps us busy playing Select Soccer. reflection of his father......in ALL ways. Jonah is the "jock" of the family and my own personal protector when Mike is away. Then there's our youngest child, Michaela. She starts 4th grade next year and is the one that challenges me most! She has been cursed with being too much like her mother! Michaela has my quick SARCASTIC wit and desire for drama. Any gray hair I may now have can be directly linked to our sweet little drama queen. She is an aspiring actress and model and has signed with an agent in Austin. Our family spent 6 weeks in New York City several summers ago so that she and Jake could audition. It was a mind-blowing experience and one that will go down as our favorite family "vacation". Mike and I are very lucky that we graduated from the same high school. It's a blast recalling the "old" days and remembering people that we both knew. Being able to go to each other's class reunions with the knowledge that you'll know probably as many people as your spouse is definitely a plus!! We both look forward to seeing everyone!
