Phil's Story
I guess I turned out to be more than a little Burn-Out after all. Those who remember me know that I hung out with the Burn-Outs as well as the Jocks. I tried to get along with everyone and because I was so small in Highschool (98lbs in 11th grade 105lbs in 12th), it was not a good idea for me to start trouble with anyone. After my Junior year at Oscoda High my father retired from the Air Force and moved our family to Omaha, Nebraska. That was tough for me because I was in Oscoda from 5th grade to 11th grade and now I had to spend my Senior Year at a Highschool where I did not know anyone while my true classmates graduated from Oscoda without me. CKS in some ways. Anyway, it worked out to be a good thing for me even though I did not think so at the time. I ended up going to the University of Nebraska to study Art and graduated with a Bachelors of Journalism degree. I also played Soccer for UNL and was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity. Probably suprising to those who knew me from the OLD DAYS. Today I own and operate a Direct Marketing/Advertising Agency in the Omaha area. I still consider Oscoda High as my graduating class and attended the last class reunion. I hope we can organize another class reunion for our 30th. I would love to hear from anyone who knew me back then, its great to catch up with old friends.
