Psych is a regulated health professional and an Occupational Therapist. He is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario having registration number G9502833. He is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (membership No. 12855). Since 1995, he has worked in the Auto Insurance Sector, for WSIB, for Private Insurance and for the Provincial and Federal Governments. He has travelled to the isolated James Bay Region of Northern Ontario to deliver occupational therapy services to the Cree First Nation, on Moose Factory Island. He has appeared as an expert witness in a court of law on behalf of both the Plaintiff and the Defence. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, in Psychology, and a Diploma in Gerontology. Additionally, he served as a Medic in the Canadian Armed Forces Medical Services for 18 years. Mr. Leadbeater is a member of the Board of Directors for the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. His term is 2012 – 2014. Mr. Leadbeater has served on the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Association Quinte District where he liaised with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League to raise funds to provide education regarding concussions in sports. ice Cup Challenge,” a fundraiser held annually at the Brighton Speedway to generate capital for Northumberland Lakeshore Hospice. Mr. Leadbeater is the originator and director of Project Phoenix (2004-2012), an undertaking to ship mobility and rehabilitation equipment to the Republic of Haiti. The goal of Project Phoenix was to foster the expansion and quality of rehabilitation services for the benefit of physically disabled adults and children. Mr. Leadbeater has served as author & art director for “The Forrest Collection,” a creative undertaking directed at raising funds for the Occupational Therapy Student Admission Scholarship, at Dalhousie University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Mr. Leadbeater is the originator of the Brighton “Parade of Champions Food Drive.” This undertaking sees the drivers from the Brighton Speedway champion hunger as they parade their race cars through the streets of downtown Brighton raising food donations and cash for those in need. Mr. Leadbeater has been admitted to the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (SB. St. J.), "for services in carrying out humanitarian and charitable works for the relief of persons in sickness, distress, disability and suffering," by order of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth the Second, and presented by the Governor General of Canada. He is also the recipient of the Canadian Armed Forces Decoration (CD) for service to his Country and the Sikorsky Helicopter Rescue Award, for a Life Saving Rescue in the North Atlantic, in December 1986.".
