Phil's Story
Life
After high school, I attended Nassau Community College and the Manhattan School of Music studying music theory and piano performance.
In 1975, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a musical career. I played with the legendary blues fiddler Papa John Creach for three years as well as doing other things in the music industry.
In 1980, I married my wife Mary.
After some years, I determined that music was a rough way to make a living.
From 1981 to 1983, while continuing to play music, I studied Electronics and Computer Science at Los Angeles City College.
In 1984, I received an offer to return to New York and work for CBS in their new computer software publi...Expand for more
shing group. So, Mary and I moved back to Long Island and bought a house in Seaford, where we still live. After leaving CBS, I worked at several computer consulting companies in an operations/business management capacity.
For the past five years, I have been the controller and business manager of a small engineering/architectural firm in Jericho, NY.
I still love playing the piano and continue to teach a small number of private students as well as play in several jazz ensembles (big bands and small groups).
I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me from school or for that matter, anyone who has an interest in music, especially classical, jazz or blues.
