Phil's Story
Life
Keeping it short, Played fastpitch softball for about 35 years. Western and 50's swing dance instructor and competed for about 10 years (won 1 National Championship in Reno and a couple smaller competitions). Coached at Shasta College (womens Fastpitch team for approx. 10 years and did private lessons for girls 6 years old through college age. I do some Fastpithch camps here in Wa. Climbed Mt. r and lower Sacramento, American, Rogue (with Randy Shepherd) and the Salmon and part of the Upper Snake River. Got back into art (painting & some charcoal) about 5 years ago and it's done pretty well (more than a hobby) and I use acrylic, oil and I do spraypaint art. I write poetry (couple published) and started writing novels. Back from Iraq in April after spending 6 months as a project engineer in Fallujah, Karma and Rhamadi. About 8 close calls so I probably won't go back but did make some great friends. Both Iraqi and American.
