Phil (Steve)'s Story
Life
It's hard to believe I have worked for the same company for 32 years. I went to school in Atlanta - no not Georgia Tech - DeVry (AE degree) then to DeVry in Phoenix to get my BSEE degree. I went to work for Emerson (now Liebert Corporation) in the test department. Met my future wife at work got married in 78 transferred to Field Service and moved back to Atlanta in 81. After 2 years of traveling two or three times a week I got tired of it (I have some good flying stories) and moved back to Sunny California. I am now the Network Manager and have been fixing computers and networks for about 17 years.
I have two sons born in 81 & 82 15 months apart. One that goes to Chapman University and plays baseball with dreams of the Atlanta Braves the other works in a warehouse that Reggie Jackson stores some of his cars.
"6-14-05" Chapman University made it to the Division III world series and Jason Mooneyham was picked on the all tournament team. Then in the 40th round of the ML draft the Dodgers made my year by picking my son. -- Jason played his first year at Ogden UT - hit 280 with 6 home runs and will be going to Vero Beach Fla for spring training. My wife and ...Expand for more
I flew to Ogden and watched my son in his first Professional Baseball game. There is no better feeling than to see your son get his first hit. So this year 2005 has been my best but in August I had Quad bypass so it is also one of my worst. But I am fine and plan to be around to see my son get to the big league.
March 31, 2007 - my son Jason was released from the Dodgers - I will never ware Blue again.

I moved to Atlanta in 1981 and work as a Field Engineer. I saw more of America in two years but did not have time to engoy it. I move back to Califorina in 1983 an worked in Tech support. Got into computer suport and became the Network Administrator. PS: This Emerson division was put into Liebert Corporation. But is still part of Emerson.
2-2009 - I was laid off after 35 years with Emerson they moved the plant to Mexico and Ohio - I was off for 1 week and started work for Emerson again - a different division - got my 5 weeks vacation back,
