Philip's Story
I've managed to stay pretty busy since graduating from CHS in 1979. Immediately after high school I went into the Army where I served for 21 years before retiring in 2000. My service took me all over the world and helped to shaped my outlook on life. Live hard and have fun. You never know when it will all end. I've had the privilege of leading American soldiers in combat during the Persian Gulf war and also in Somalia. I've taught college ROTC and served as an Army Recruiter. Upon leaving the military, I went to work for AutoZone Inc where I am currently employed as a Supply Chain Loss Prevention Manager/Investigator for the Southeast region. I am responsible for two distribution centers, one in Lavonia, GA and the other in Lexington, TN. Theresa and I have a home in Anderson, SC where we have lived for the past ten years. e have three sons, Brandon Jr, 5 and Seann, 2 and Isaac, four months. They are currently stationed in Baumholder, Germany. Brandon has served two tours in Iraq with the 1st Armored Division and will deploy to Afghanistan i n November 2010. My Daughter Gitana is a 21 year old Senior at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. She is a music education major and smart as a whip. She inherited her musical talent and her brains from her dad. Her musical range is very broad and she has performed with the Wichita Fall Opera and as a backup singer with Johnny Cooper. Music has always been one of my passions and I continue to "work at it" to this day. Over the years I have been a member of several bands including an acapella singing group which won a number of military contests and awards. Theresa and I enjoy entertaining friends at our home, traveling and being grandparents.
