TV shows Phill likes include Geek Love, Grimm, Body of Proof. One of Phill's favorite quotes is:"You can teach an old dog new tricks, but you have to reward him for good behavior. "Life is like a rose, to hold on to it's beauty you have to deal with the thorns." "Disappointment is the distance between expectations and reality, sometimes what you get isn't exactly what you're hoping for...but something better." Sometimes livin' large means livin' less, what good is a lot of stuff if you have to worry about making payments and not being content? "Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two." route is by knowing the mistakes of others and planning detours around them. "A man who knows all the ropes have much to hang self with." "The difference between science and God is that science explains the 'how' and God explains the 'why'." "Stupidity is measured by the distance between a man's brain and his mouth." "It's the differences, not the similarities that make a relationship work. Harmony in music happens when all the notes are different, they are arranged through trial and error to form a sweet melody. It is the same between a man and a woman." Sure, it's funny till someone gets hurt or goes to jail. "Honey, I can never be your girlfriend so quit trying to put a skirt on me." Boredom is just a state of mind for those of little thought. When you come to the cross for salvation you don't have to leave your brains there.". More about Phill:"I'm so blessed by the Father that I feel as content as being in His lap. First as far as my humor, picture me as the guy getting coffee in the office overhearing a conversation, I try to be "light-hearted" when I view life. I have a different view about things biblical, my interpretation of the bible doesn't follow most. I see the words recorded in the Testaments tells everyone what they want to know about creation, the differences in mankind, the Heavenly Father's view on morality, how people should feel about themselves and others, and whether each of us that are faithful receive a place in Heaven. I guess if you sit there and try to understand God's words (instead of just reading them) you can see what the Lord's plan really is. I've learned the best way to look at life is biblical and faithfully, learning to forgive "seventy times seven". That "if you can't be with the one you love (God) then love the one your with."".
