Phillip's Story
Phillip's schools include Elizabethtown High School. Phillip later attended University of Wisconsin-Madison graduating with a BS in Zoology in 1972. He then attended the University of Kentucky School of Medicine graduating in 1976. He then did a 3 year residency thru the University of Virginia in Roanoke, Virginia and has practiced in Glasgow since 1979. 12 years on the Glasgow Independent Board of Education from 1986 to 1998, the last 8 years as chairman. With the University of Louisville he founded the U. of Louisville/Glasgow Family Medicine Residency Program in the mid 1990s and served for 6 years on The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky. Since 2013 he has served on the Western Kentucky University Board of Regents and was elected chairman of the board in 2017 after chairing the presidential search committee the previous year.
