Phillip J's Story

Life goes on. Let's see, I walked off the stage after graduation on June 1st, 1973 and went home. The next day I went to work over at the paint factory. Then I went to college over at Cooke County and then off to Midwestern...got an entire 85 miles from home for my college career. ...it has been a long time and the time grows longer still. I spent a very brief time in the Navy, learned about gravity and magnetics as they apply to exploration geophysics and worked in the oil patch for a spell, learned about computers and became a consultant. While the word "consultant" is sometimes mistaken for "unemployed" I actually worked at it for about 12 years. I have a book out...called Write Winger: Solutions for the Politically Oblique. Just finished book number two....if you would like to see my blog...go to Google and type Write Winger and hit enter..I will show up in Blogspot. The new book is about enlightenment and religion and is called God's Motive. It should hit Amazon and Barnes and Noble.com in about 6 weeks or so. I am now working for ConAgra Foods and have relocated to Omaha, Nebraska where we dream of and often get a white Thanksgiving not just a white Christmas. I am a grandfather...yikes! I have a son and a daughter in college at the same time, two dogs, 3 cats. No longer skinny and I am twice the man I once was, perhaps three times. I travel a lot for my work. I am currently working in Missouri. I was in Gainesville over the 4th of July but I don't know if I saw anyone I know, we are all so old now it is difficult to recognize people. Gainesville appears to be gaining some industry, that's good. Lawyers, ars...Expand for more
onists and antique stores hardly counts as a viable economy. I heard the school isn't doing too well from the state's point of view. I don't have much more to say...drop me a line if you take a notion. I generally answer back. School Looking back, I didn't take advantage of school as I should have. Having it all to do over again...and access to a word processor, I would now rule the world....as it happens, I was lazy and barely rule my house. College I went to Cooke County for two years and Midwestern State University for two years. Joined the TKE fraternity....fell down a lot...who knew there was that much beer in one place. I majored in political science...ended up working in computers. I say ended up...haven't really ended up yet, I hope. WORK Since school I have worked for: A Paint Factory An Aircraft Seat Factory A Church Furniture Company State Mental Hospital State School in Gainesville A Geophyiscal Exploration Company A Fence Materials Mfg Company A Data Communications Company A Data Communications Consulting Company A Point of Sale Software Development Company A Supply Chain Software Company A Supply Chain Consulting Firm An Automotive Electronics Company An RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Training Company A Food Manufacturing Company I am a writer. I make my living working and keep my sanity writing. I have relocated to Omaha, Nebraska. Experiencing something I have never experienced before....autumn. I am a director here at ConAgra Foods...nice place to work. I actually enjoy going to work in the morning. I am looking at a 3 year project to implement SAP software in our plants, so lots of travel.
