Phillip's Story
I'm a senior research engineer at Johns Manville. I do the glass formulation and control for North American glass plants for our Building Insulation Division. One of my key focuses is use of recycled glass in our fibergl;ass insulation. We currently use 25% recycled glass, with 20% Post-consumer recyled glass as a % of product weight and are trying to increase that. I live in Denver, Co with my wife of 18 years, Sherry, and our 3 black dogs - Tigger, Pooh Bear, and Bandit. I've climbed 70 of...Expand for more
the highest 100 peaks in Colorado and bagged 49 of the 53 14,000 foot summits. In Aug-Sept,2008 I went trekking in Ladakh, India and hiked over an 18,200 foot pass (see photo). IN May Sherry and I went to the big Island of Hawaii and did tourist stuff - walked across volcano crater, went snorleling, stayed in Hil and on west coats. Next year I have made plans to trek around Manaslu in Nepal, the eighth higehste pak in the world. Life is a great challenge and these adbentures keep me alive!
