Well, where do I start??? For starters I guess you can say I ended up attending and graduating from Oklahoma State University. It was a great time and I met a lot of fun and interesting people. Next up I worked for a few years and decided to head to Texas and settled in the Dallas area in 1987. Later I got married and bought a house in the Suburb of Carrollton and proceeded to raise two daughters. During this time period I left the consulting business and I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of Public Service. I was lucky enough to work for the Dallas City Manager and it was a worthwhile experience. For the next change in my career, I was appointed by the State Judges to oversee Purchasing at Dallas County, where I came to understand the true meaning of partisan politics. Elected politicians don't like spending tax dollars and my job was to award contracts that spent those tax dollars. Talk about nerve wracking. But it was also very rewarding. During this time period, I ended up getting divorced and became a single dad/parent.. I changed jobs and went to work for a Department within Texas Education Agency as it allowed me more flexibility in being a single parent. While, involved with single parent groups I met my future wife. She is a school administrator at the local school district. I now do consulting work wtih schools and other local governments.
