Phillip's Story

How can I tell you my story in a nut shell. It has been 39 years ago since we moved from Flint. I was a hippy sophomore when we moved to Ohio. I have many, many stories. I did lots of stuff like hitch hiking across country and going to rock festivals and concerts. I still dig the MC5 and though I am a clean cut fat old man now I am still a hippy deep inside. I worked in the Steel mills in Youngstown. They closed up and I went through bad times. I was so poor I could even pay attention. I had Romances and adventures. I had heart aches and crushing disapointments. I married my wife Barbara when I was 39 and at 54 we are still happily married. I love life come what may and would do it all again if I had the chance and probably get in ...Expand for more
even more trouble. I like to sing in Black church choirs because they are infinitely more fun and lively than white choirs. I love animals and gardening both flower and vegetable. You should see and taste the potatoes I grew last summer.I am a computer geek and think everyone should throw their Windows system in the garbage can and switch to Linux. I am against the wars we are fighting overseas. I think Obama is probably one of the most intelligent presidents we have ever had. I am a hard core Democrat. I do not like Red necks or racists. I am part Cherokee and love Native American things past, present and future. Free Leonard Peltier! Oh before I forget in the "Then" photo I am the skinny hippy on the left with the long brown hair.

I found a little railroad yard switcher engine to move train cars out of the railroad yard and hook them up to the big trains on the main railroad track.
Hey Gavin I found a lot of trucks for our train set and a train tower.
