Phillip's Story
Life
All,
Michelle, Olivia (my little seven year old who is in charge of her Papa) and I are still in Alaska, but now we are in Fairbanks. After 3 years in Anchorage (16 months of which I was in Iraq) we moved further north. We attend a great church, First Assembly of God and are trying to get acquainted with the uniqueness that is Fairbanks.
School
I still remember the old Highschool Football games. Those were great times. Being in the Army is the closest it comes to that magical feeling of community that you get at the games.
Military

currently command a Surveillance Troop in a Stryker BDE in Alaska. We leave for Iraq sometime this fall, it will be my second tour. We will not be back to the lower 48 prior to 2010. Then we will go back to Kansas for school. I could not have imagined a better life than this one. There is no greater feeling or humbling experience than command a unit that you trained and prepared for war. But none of it is possible without the great American soldiers that run my unit and my wonderful wife and daughter who still make me take out the trash at 40 below.
