Phyllis's Story
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was not a good idea. As it turns out, they were right. I would have made a better teacher than a nurse.
Now I find that I love to do research, especially on the computer. I don't think I would have enjoyed it much before computers.
I' an avid computer user. I've found many lost relatives & old friends on the PC. Usually, if a friend or family member needs to get info on any topic, they ask me to research whatever it is they need to know.
I've lived in many places starting with North Philly when I was very young, Strawberry Mansion, Oxford Circle, Levittown, back to NE Philly, Bensalem, Rhawnhurst. As you can see I've traveled a lot, but I've not really gone anywhere. :) As of December 2013 I live in Hatfield PA
I dislike Reality TV except for DWTS. I'm excited about the Phillies winning the 2009 World Series. I have no obsessions that I know of.
Life doesn't always turn out the way ...Expand for more
you would like. I always wanted to travel around the world, but that was not to be. My major dream was to find the love of my life, get married, have lots of kids & "live happily every after." I did find the love of my life and we had 2 sons who I love very much. But, my dream was shattered because 10 years into our marriage, the love of my life unexpectedly passed away. My kids were 8 & 5.
I never thought I was a strong person who could survive such a tragedy, but I did! Not only did I survive, I managed to personally grow and take care of my children on my own who are now 51 & 47. They are my most proudest accomplishments. And now I have 6 grandchildren who are the joys of my life.
If I won $100 million, I'd give most of it to my family, then spend the rest on a new condo, a new car and travel around the world.
I hope old friends will remember me as being kind & caring and willing to do whatever I have to do,legally & lovingly, to survive & be as happy as one can be.
