Phyllis's Story
Life
I graduated from the University of Rochester in 1979, with a major in sociology and psychology. In 1981/1982, I got my masters degree in Social Work from Syracuse University. I married Bob Turner in 1981, and we have been married for 33 years. I worked as a social worker at the Monroe Developmental Center in Rochester NY from 1982 -1994. e's Adult Protedtive Services unit, investigating abuse, neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults. I became senior social worker in 1996, and supervisor in 1997.We have no children, but have raised Norwegian Forest Cats.We built our own home in 2000, and continue to work on its improvement
Update 4/5/2020 - my husband of 38 years,Robert G Turner, class of 1964, passed away on 3/9/2020. I have been retired since June 2017..
