Phyllis's Story
Life
When I graduated high school, I got married, had three beautiful kids, and moved to the south. It was beautiful there but late husband didn't like it there much. It took us 10 years to move back to Indiana.
My husband died 4 years after we moved back. In the mean time, I attended Clark's Beauty Academy and International Business College. Graduating in the top 5% of my class, I went to work for what is now Verizon.
Fifteen years of being a widow, my children are now grown, married, and have children of their own. I remarried just last July to a friend and reside in Kokomo, IN. After January, I and my husband are moving because he will be retired. I have, also, started going to University of Phoenix to finish getting the degree I want. My goal is to become a business analyst. Too many businesses trying to become a big shot without the proper knowledge.

looking at a year book that was shown to me from a family member that also went to Broad Ripple. Nasty stuff wrote in it. It is a darn shame it was on the wrong picture.

I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
My favorite way to blow off steam is to go to work. That way I don't say too much to offend my family and friends.
The person that made my life easy was my great-grandmother. She was not able to get out of bed but she sure told me stories that made me wish that I was more like her.
If I won $100 million, I'd give a fourth of it to family, then spend the rest on a home, new car and charities.
My best friend would tell you I'm inspiring, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as crazy.
