Phyllis's Story
Here I am, still living on the central coast of California in beautiful Paso Robles wine country. We've been here 28 years now. I married Tom Davis in 1970 (FUHS Class of '69), and we just celebrated 39 years together. It's been mostly great (but he is getting kind of old, ha, ha!).
We have two children, a son 35, and a daughter 34, who have given us three beautiful grandsons. Tom worked for the post office for 30 years, while in the National Guard. After 9/11, he was activated regular army, took an early retirement from the P.O., and is now Active National Guard at Camp Roberts Calif. I worked for San Luis Obispo County Social Services Personnel Office for years, and retired in 2005...Expand for more
. Now I spend all my time taking care of the grandkids while my daughter works. I'm also a member of the quilt guild, and the Red Hat Club. There doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day, certainly not for housework!
Tom gets to travel alot for work also, so I try to go with him whenever possible. Last year we went to New York, Florida, Virginia, and Hawaii. I'm very blessed to have the time and opportunity to go with him when he travels. Usually he goes to whatever meeting he's there for, and he takes a week or so personal time and we see the sights when he's done.
Anyway, that's pretty much us up to date. I hope to hear from anyone who would like to say "hi"!
