Phyllis's Story
After graduating in 1980, I lived in L.A. for 4 more years. I got married and moved with my husband to 29 Palms (Marine Corp Base) for 3 years. During that time my son was born (1985). We relocated to North Carolina and DC, and back to NC during the next 5 years. My son and I moved to L.A. (yes, alone) in 1990, we lived there for 4 years. ajor telecom carrier in Colorado, where my son and I lived for the next 7 years. Which brings me to the present. I am still in the telecom industry, but now living and working in Chicago (almost 3 years). My 23 year old son still resides in Denver with his fiance. I really enjoy Chicago. I've always said, if it didn't snow here, this would be the perfect place to live. The snow isn't the worst part by no means, its the wind. It's not called it the "Windy City" for nothing.
