Life My Spouse Cathy (Hertler) went to North. But she certainly would not have associated with me in high school. I was a scoundrel, she was a fine, decent young woman (she still is). When I got out of college I took a job at the local YMCA camp. I didn't have a ride to work, so the camp's Manager had the Waterfront Director pick me up. By the time we reached the end of my parents' driveway, I knew I was going to marry her! (Although it did take me about 6 weeks to talk her into it!) (12/19/05 - Married over 25 years now...Wow! What happened?) My Pets King Arthur is a 115 lb Rotweiler/German Shepherd mix. He is wonderful with kids, but I strongly warn people not to give Cathy or my kids a hard time. He is NOT a trained attack dog, but he does NOT like arguments or physical confrontations. We all consider "Arty-Boy" to be an integral part of our family. Plus, he was a "pound-mutt", so he is ever thankful that we rescued him! (12/19/05 We still have Artie...but now we also have Toby, another 120+ pound rottweiler. I feel very comfortable leaving my wife in the care of her two bodyguards!) My Kids Bill is 18 and headed for UW-Milw in Fall. He is a fine soccer player (Mother's gene pool!) having shelves of trophies and played in several European championships.
