Priscilla's Story
Life
Les and I have been married since July 1960. We live in southern Az. and attend an Evangelical Free Church which we love.
Attending the OBI Alumni meetings and getting to renew acquaintances with former classmates was wonderful. It is great to be able to see some of your names on this website and perhaps we will hear from some of you (I posted pictures in an album from the 2006,2007 & 2008 gatherings). God has been most gracious to us. We love Him. There were 66 alumni at the 2007 reunion, including both OBI and Citadel alumni. Fellow alumni feel like family!
We have lived in several states through the years, including Kansas City, Mo, Lyndon, Il, Whittier, Ca, Tucson, Az, and also in Canada where we attended Briercrest Bible Institute (now College), and graduated in 1971.
There is another OBI alumni website sponsored by Calvary Bible College where there are pictures from past alumni gatherings. It has been so good to hear from some OBI compatriots!
We have a daughter who lives near us and we see her often, and a son who lives in southern CA. with his family.

etty busy in spite of being retired. I volunteer at the local Food Bank 2 days a week and Les volunteers one day. We also have an organization called "Friends In Deed" which loans out sanitizable, non-motorized medical equipment such as crutches, canes, walkers of different descriptions, wheelchairs, toilet risers, shower seats, tub benches, bedside comodes etc. I work there every other Wednesday afternoon.
Right now our choir is gearing up for the coming Easter season and I enjoy being part of it. Our director is really good, makes us work.
My favorite teacher at OBI has to be Goldie Ruth Karr. She was my piano teacher, spiritual life teacher, and choir director. With me she had endless patience teaching piano. I was one jittery student; I remember nightmares before piano recitals. These days I only play at home; I'm still jittery about playing.
We have a gentleman at our church who is familiar with OBI. His name is Carl Smith and his ministry throught Concern, Intl, is to Romania, where he is especially interested in reaching the Rroma people (gypsies) who are outcasts in society, not even having birth certificates, and therefore not being allowed to get an education.
