Quin's Story
Life
I am currently on my 3rd (and last) marriage. My wife, Maria Hernandez-Rodriguez, was born and raised on a tropical island off the coast of Spain called the Canary Islands. Her entire family is still there and we are in the process of buying a condo on the island. It is our intention to split our time between Spain and the USA. We have been married 8 years and do not (and won't) have any children between us. I took 3 or 4 years of Spanish in high school and it was worthless. I blew through the 6 phrases I learned within the first 5 minutes of meeting her. Fortunately, the rest of the world is not mono-linguistic and she communicated with me in English. I am fairly fluent now.
I have 2 children from my second marriage (12 years). Julia is 18 and is attending the University of Illinois. Quin is 16 and is attending high school in Wheeling. If I can brag, my daughter was one of only 3 kids in her junior high that had a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout all 3 years of junior high. That and she had the lead role in the school musical. My son is very good at hockey and skateboarding.
I was married to my first wife for 5 years.
3rd time is the charm.

School
The only memorable phrase I remember from school came from a business teacher at HHS. I don't recall her name (possibly Mary Ellen Moerke) but she said: "You're brain is only as sharp as your pencil". I'll be damned if I really know what that mean...Expand for more

College
I have only attended local colleges. First 2 years at McHenry County College and then various courses at College of Lake County and Harper College. I really don't have much use for education nor studying.
Workplace
My first real & fun job was working at Great America during the summers. From there I was a manager at a paint company (Glidden) for about 5 years. I worked for Hinckley Schmitt delivering water and then managing a group of drivers. I was with the water company for about 5 years. I was an inventory controller for a electrical wire & cable in Chicago for 11 years. I have been a Realtor for 14 years. I have owned my own company since January of 2000 and currently have 38 agents that work for me. Real estate is the only job I do now. I work from home, I work for myself, I like it. As a company, we move a lot of real estate. We have helped sell well over $700 million in real estate since the beginning of 2005 (the sales were nominal before then).
If you're interested, my company is called 4 Sale Realty, Inc. (Google 4 Sale Realty in quotes for my site.) I actually own about a dozen domain names that point to different places on my site but that is the main one.
And now, a commercial..... I developed a program where I will list your property on the MLS (the place where Realtors look for homes) for a one time flat fee of $450.00. It virtually will cut your commission in half as you will only have to pay the Realtor that brings the buyer. If you secure the buyer without a Realtor, you pay nothing else. Interested?
